Florida Georgia Line to Headline Y Live

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio — The Y Live concert series returns to YSU’s Stambaugh Stadium for its second year with multi-platinum country music duo Florida Georgia Line.

The award-winning performers will headline the event, scheduled for Aug. 11, 2018. Opening for the group will be Morgan Wallen, the singer of the chart-rising hit “Up Down” featuring Florida Georgia Line and a regional fan favorite, Chris Higbee.

This is the second year for the stadium concert event, put on by JAC Live and co-promoted by The Muransky Companies. This year’s show will double as the Southwoods Health concert for the Valley.

“Last year’s Y Live was an incredible amount of hard work and we were thrilled with the result of the success,” said Eric Ryan, JAC Live CEO. “It was a no-brainer to produce another stadium event after the unbelievable response we received from the community. We hope to continue to elevate Youngstown’s music scene for many years to come.”

With new restaurants and amenities opening in the downtown area, Ryan said Y Live gives the community an opportunity to experience the transformation of Youngstown.

Tickets go on sale to the general public starting Friday, May 4, 2018, at 10 a.m., and can be purchased for $125, $99, $85, $75, $59 and $45. All purchases can be made by visiting ticketmaster.com, TMMobile, or by calling 1-800-745-3000. Presale information and exclusive updates can be found at ylivemusic.com or by following JAC Live on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.

Youngstown State University students will have the opportunity to purchase two discounted tickets for them and a guest instead of just one.

“Any concert is better with a friend and we are really thrilled to be able to offer this benefit to YSU students, thanks to the University’s support.” Ryan said. More information will be released by YSU in the next few weeks.

Y Live is scheduled for Saturday, August 11, 2018, at 7 p.m. Florida Georgia Line will take the field to perform chart-topping hits from popular albums like “Dig Your Roots” and “Anything Goes.”

Event sponsors include Southwoods Health, Huntington Bank, Sweeney Chevrolet Buick GMC, The DeBartolo Corporation, Youngstown State University and Phantom Fireworks.
