Rochester, N.Y. — Two people are in custody and one is hospitalized after a home invasion on the city's northeast side.

Officers responded to Edgeland Street around 1:15 a.m. for a report of a shooting. Police said they found a 39-year-old man with upper-body injuries, later determined not to be gunshot wounds. The man was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police determined the injured man was the victim of a home invasion robbery, leading them to a home on Morton Street, where they detained two people.

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information can call 911 or Crime Stoppers at (585) 423-9300.
