A flash flood alert is now in force for all low lying and flash flood prone areas for the whole of Fiji.
Fiji Meteorological Service states a trough of low pressure with the associated clouds and rain will affect the country until Sunday.
Due to heavy rain, there will be flash flooding of some low-lying informal settlements and communities, businesses and iris crossing that will lead to disruption to traffic flow.
Also, surface flooding is expected on streets, particularly in urban areas with poor drainage system.
Those on the road, can also expect reduced visibility.
