Bishkek, Dec. 4, 2018. / Kabar /. Uzbekistan is interested in opening car production in Kyrgyzstan. This became known during the working visit of the delegation of the Kyrgyz Republic to Tashkent, headed by Minister of Economy Oleg Pankratov.
The trip took place from November 28 to December 1.
The main purpose of the visit was to discuss the implementation of the agreements and intergovernmental agreements reached between Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan in the framework of the meetings of the presidents of the two countries in 2017. Also the issues of promoting business contacts, identifying prospects for cooperation in trade, transport and industry were considered.
During the meetings, the sides discussed the implementation of a project to create an assembly production of agricultural equipment, assembly of cars and buses in the Kyrgyz Republic.
Agreements were also reached to consider the possibility of creating a machine-technical station (MTS) in the southern regions of the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as the possibility of cooperation in the framework of a public-private partnership to provide passenger transportation services for the city of Bishkek, taking into account the use of opportunities of SamAvto LLC.
Within the visit, a cooperation exchange, expert meetings, visits to industrial enterprises of Tashkent city and Tashkent region were held. Bilateral meetings were held at the Ministry of Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan and the Tashkent Khokimiyat.
