If you want to get a head-start on your holiday shopping, there are many ways to support local businesses on Black Friday (Nov 24) and Small Business Saturday (Nov 25) instead of braving the mall. This year, there's an abundance of pop-up markets across town (with more showing up all the time) filled with local vendors and artisans. Whether it's a limited-edition release at a participating Black Friday Record Store Day location, small-batch fruit preserves at Gobble Up, blown-glass dragon eggs at the GeekCraft Expo, or handmade jewelry at the Native Holiday Gift Fair, there's bound to be something neat for everyone. See this weekend's options below, and check out our winter holidays calendar for more markets in the coming weeks.
