As Supervisor of Elections Tommy Hardee and his team prepare for the upcoming March elections, they invite you to their edition of the Madison County Chamber of Commerce's Business After Hours. The event will be on Tuesday, Feb. 18, at Hardee's office, located at 229 Pinckney St. #113, in Madison.
From 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. join others and enjoy light refreshments and a friendly atmosphere among friends and local colleagues. During the event, Hardee will give a tour of Madison County's election office and the behind-the-scenes equipment that goes into collecting and counting votes.
Hardee will also discuss the importance of election security and the physical measures that the local office takes in ensuring every vote is counted without outside interference.
While enjoying the networking event, Hardee and his staff will allow for voters registration and status checks prior to the March election, which will include a presidential preference primary and elections for the Town of Greenville Council and the Madison City Commission.
The Business After Hours mixers have become popular social networking events offered in a casual, comfortable atmosphere. They are held on the third Tuesday of each month at the office location of a Chamber member. It's an opportunity for Chamber members to form relationships, which strengthen community and friendship bonds.
