On Friday business leaders from across the Quinte area gathered for the 21st Annual Quinte Business Achievement Awards Gala.

Over the past 20 years the Business Achievement Awards program have recognized individuals, companies and organizations who have taken the extra steps to strive towards business excellence.

“The Business Achievement Awards committee worked hard over the past several months to encourage all businesses that were nominated to fill out their questionnaire,” stated Jill Raycroft, committee chair, in a press release. “We had 122 companies complete the nomination process, showcasing the great diversity and strength Quinte businesses have; we are proud of all the nominees.”

The first business awards event was organized to celebrate the success of small business. Over the years the awards have changed and the Quinte Business Achievement Awards now accepts nominations for companies of all sizes across a wide expanse of sectors. As always, the core of the annual event remains the same. To recognize and celebrate business excellence in Quinte.

“We had a great turnout for this event,” stated Stephanie Wilson, event coordinator. “Even non-nominated businesses were in attendance to show their support and to celebrate with other nominees the success and benefits of doing business in Quinte. It is great to see that our local businesses are proud to be located in the Quinte Region.”

“We would like to extend a congratulations to all of our nominees, enjoyed celebrating the success of the 2017 award winners and congratulate them on their outstanding achievements” stated Raycroft.
